Goomeri... antique paradise
The annual Pumpkin Festival, held in May, is one of the highlights of the South Burnett calendar. Events include pumpkin races down Policeman’s Hill! The memorial clock is a landmark in the town, and the Hall Of Memory, opened in 1926, is now a National Trust-listed building. Drive north of Goomeri to discover other attractions: an historic homestead, a farm selling tasty home-grown olives and pressed oils, and a gorgeous B&B and cellar door. Nearby Kinbombi Falls has a lovely picnic area and is popular with bushwalkers. The swimming hole at the base of the rocks provides cooling relief on warm summer days. Useful Links |
