Kingaroy... pastoral patchwork
The Peanut Heritage Museum in town depicts the pastoral and agricultural histroy of Kingaroy. Every year, in August/September, Kingaroy hosts the Kingaroy Peanut Fesitval. Three kilometres west of Kingaroy is Mt Wooroolin lookout providing spectacular views of the contrasting landscape green crops against the renowned red soil. Useful Links |
Renowned for its towering peanut silos, this large regional center has all modern commerce and facilities as well as servicing the agricultural surrounds. The expanding wine industry has inspired new developments within this area, with the Wine and Food in the Park Festival, an annual event.
