The Kilkivan Great Horse Ride which is held in April each year attracts over a thousand riders and their mounts, who follow numerous trails culmination in a Grand Parade through the main street of the historic town.

The Kilkivan Great Horse Ride is a recreational horse ride for riders of all ages and ability. It is held annually in April with riders following four different trails leading into Kilkivan where all riders then participate in the grand street parade down the main street. The parade is then followed by a country music concert at the Kilkivan showgrounds.
