Hardly a month goes by without a bright, colourful event or festival in the South Burnett, including some very unusual ones!

Where else could hold a pumpkin festival where the highlight is rolling pumpkins down a hill? Or a festival dedicated to peanuts, including a thresher pulling competition?

There is a constant calendar of wine and food events, garden shows, art exhibitions, craft shows, fishing competitions, charity events, markets, sporting events, rodeos and agricultural shows.

Horses are the centre of many spectacular events in the South Burnett, with the annual Kilkivan Great Horse Ride, the Yarraman Horse Ride, the Burrandowan Picnic Races, the Nanango Cup Day, the Easter In The Country racing carnival, and the Wondai Anzac Day Legacy race meeting.

Music-inspired events include the Maidenwell Folk Gathering, the Taabinga Spring Music Festival, and the Nanango Country Music Muster.
